This year marks The UK and Ireland Aerosol Society’s 40th anniversary, and AASC 2026 will celebrate four decades of advancing research in aerosol science in the UK and Ireland. The conference remains the premier forum for aerosol scientists from academia, industry and government to network, collaborate and share the latest research. With aerosol science increasingly prominent in public discourse, from wildfire smoke to air quality and health, this year’s programme promises timely and wide-ranging discussion.
The AASC 2026 will be held over two days, 23–24 November 2026, at the Royal Society of Chemistry in London. The programme features distinguished plenary speakers across a broad range of aerosol science themes including a special plenary on our 40th milestone, a special session on Bioaerosols, and our usual mix of oral and poster presentations. An industry exhibition will run alongside the conference for sponsors and corporate partners, and we’ll mark the Society’s 40th anniversary with a special conference dinner.
As always, AASC aims to create a welcoming, supportive environment where PhD students and early career researchers can present their work alongside established colleagues — making for a vibrant and stimulating two days.
