We would like to invite you, as representatives of the friendly aerosol research societies in the EAA family to join us in the celebrations. We have organized a 2-day symposium/workshop in Aachen on 28 and 29 September. The first day will be fully devoted to the past, presence and future of aerosol science. We have developed a new concept for the day, in which the entire breadth of aerosol science is covered by five tandem presentations, given by distinguished speakers. Each tandem talk will feature one discipline in aerosol science and there will be ample time for interactive discussions following the talks. Day one will be rounded off with a social program and a cozy conference dinner in Aachen. Day 2 will consist of an interactive workshop, shaping the future of aerosol science. We identified two overarching topics for the day that we as scientists are facing regularly, i.e. outreach and data driven science.
