Dr Anne Lexmond

Clinical Development of Novel Inhaled Products, University of Groningen

Dr Lexmond received her PharmD/MSc in Pharmacy from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands in 2010, after which she commenced her PhD research at the department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy of the same university. Her PhD research encompassed translational research in pulmonary aerosol delivery and addressed both inhalable formulations and pulmonary delivery devices. One of her projects focused on the use of dry powder inhalers by school children, both healthy children and children with cystic fibrosis, aiming to identify the prerequisites for a paediatric DPI. After a two-year fellowship at King’s College London, she recently re-joined the University of Groningen where she is now working on the clinical development of novel inhaled products.
