We show results from a 3-week campaign (Jul-Aug 2015) in an urban environment (Manchester, UK) to examine the relationship between PG and aerosol size and concentration. In fair weather, we observe a positive relationship between particle number concentration (PNC) and PG, but there is significant variability from day to day and by data averaging period, suggesting non-aerosol factors are more important at different times. Further analysis is required to determine the conditions affecting the strength of the coupling between aerosols and PG.
