We present size resolved dust flux measurements made from an aircraft platform in the central Sahara. We found positive upward fluxes of particles even with diameters in excess of 100 μm. Over the majority of the size range we found that the number flux decreased with increasing diameter following a -2 power law. This implies a mass flux increasing proportional to particle diameter. The largest dust fluxes were in regions of varying topography.
