Nucleation and Ageing of Aerosol Particles Generated in the Reaction of Ozone with α-pinene.

In this abstract, experiments are described that aim to significantly improve our understanding of the role of the ozonolysis of terpenes in the production and ageing of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) in the Earth’s atmosphere. This project has only recently started and so only a description of the experimental techniques and preliminary results will be presented.
