A new quantitative sampling system has been developed to collect sequential time-resolved, dry aerosol particles from PM2.5 down to 5 nm in diameter. The size of the deposition area allows reducing collection times by increasing the concentration of particles in the 50-100 µl volume of solvent used to extract the chemicals of interest. Results from field measurement campaigns show hourly concentrations of selected ions and 12 hour trends for several PAHs.
