Local and regional source influence on wood smoke levels during winter in London

Sources of wood smoke during winter in London were investigated at an urban background site and two surrounding rural sites by analysis of a number of chemical biomass burning tracers in airborne particles. Overall, the source of biomass smoke in London was concluded to be a background regional source overlaid by contributions from local domestic burning emissions.
