Assessing the Performance of a Probabilistic Computational Model in Predicting Particulate Matter Concentrations during Household Emission Scenarios

James A. McGrath, Miriam A. Byrne.

This study examines the performance of IAPPEM, a probabilistic computational model, in assessing the range of concentrations from household emission scenarios. Indoor PM concentrations were measured for different household emission scenarios and simulated under the same conditions. A time-series analysis compares experimental and predicted PM concentrations. The model’s validity will benchmark performance for predicting indoor PM concentrations.
