Brief Summary: During the exhibitor session at the Annual Aerosol Conference, Cambustion will be giving a tutorial on the Aerodynamic Aerosol Classifier (AAC). The AAC selects particles of one size over a wide size range (25 nm to 5 microns), without needing the particles to be pre-charged, making it ideal for experiments where electrical effects such as multiple charging and low charging efficiency make the use of a Differential Mobility Analyser problematic. It also uniquely selects them by aerodynamic diameter, which is the metric of choice for pharmaceutical and inhalation studies. The tutorial will include showing attendees how to use the AAC in practice.

Description: Aerosols are our passion and we are looking forward to welcoming you at our booth to give you a small insight into the variety of our products. What is your task? Do you want to measure size distributions – in the lab or in the field, continuously or very fast? Do you want to generate aerosols with specific properties? Do you want to collect aerosol particles size resolved? We are very curious about your questions and are looking forward to talking to you and maybe give you some ideas for your measurement needs.
At the booth, we will showcase a solution to generate highly monodisperse aerosols (Flow Focusing Monodisperse Aerosol Generator 1520) as well as cascade impactors (MOUDI™).
Title: Creating impact from aerosol measurement science
Description: The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) , the UK’s National Metrology Institute, a is national laboratory known for its research excellence in measurement science and engineering. NPL delivers world-class research to create real-world impact from science which underpins the prosperity and quality of life in the UK. During our exhibitor session, we are excited to share with delegates the capabilities and research activities of NPL’s Air Quality and Aerosol Metrology Group and discuss research collaboration with academia and industry. We are also happy to discuss potential funding streams for postgraduate students to carry out research at NPL.
Title – Live demonstration of the Optical Extinction Analyser (OEA). The next generation instrument for visibility and aerosol studies.
Brief summary – ET’s Scientific Sales Manager, Lewis John will give a live demonstration of the Nikira Labs Open-Path Optical Extinction Analyser (OEA) using cavity ringdown spectroscopy.
Nikira Labs’ technology enables direct, real-time measurement of aerosol optical extinction and ambient visibility with little to no sampling effects or calibration.
Title: Aerosol Generation and Sizing for Aerosol Science Specialists
Description: As UK Sales Partner of Palas GmbH since 2011, Filter Integrity Limited will be presenting a selection of instruments from the micro and nano aerosol generation and sizing range offered by Palas.
For the Aerosol Society show this year, we will be presenting the Resp-Aer-Meter, a new device offering the fastest detection of particles in respired air in the size range of viruses like Covid-19.
