Laurent Vecellio

Nemera

Laurent Vecellio works as research engineer for the Research Centre for Respiratory Diseases (CEPR, Inserm U1100) at University of Tours in France. He is also the Scientific Director for Nemera company (France) and he is charge to develop early stage projects. He studied physical engineering in the University of Paris XII about a special topic on basic aerosol science and he obtained his degree in 1999. He received his PhD in 2002 and his accreditation to supervise university research in 2007. His past research interests have included in vitro, preclinical and clinical studies for inhalation. He developed jet nebulizers and optimized mesh nebulizer performances for La Diffusion Technique Française – Aerodrug during 19 years. He works about inhaled bacteriophages, peptides and antibodies and more recently about nasal, ophthalmic, and parenteral drug delivery devices.
