This abstract documents a case study of 3M’s interpretation of the FDA Human Factors Medical Device Design Draft Guidance, in the development of a Nasal MDI for allergic rhinitis. The case study includes the early market research program [3-4] and subsequent user experience studies which were used to drive the iterative design of a device aimed at optimising patient experience.
