The impact of rheology on the outcome of collisions between drying droplets

We present details of a recently constructed instrument designed to study the impact of surface tension, density and viscosity on the outcome of collisions between droplets. The results of such droplet collisions, in terms of the number and size of the droplets produced, are an important factor in controlling the size distribution of an evolving aerosol plume.
