In this laboratory study we systematically investigate the ice nucleation behavior of size and mass selected soot particles over a wide temperature range from 253 to 218 K. Systematic studies under laboratory conditions are needed to better quantify and understand the contributions of for example from morphology, size and composition of the soot particles that control their ice nucleation ability.
