We analyze the influence of five different state-of-the-art parameterizations on the simulation of idealized mixed-phase clouds. The model used is the COSMO model extended by a two-moment scheme for the microphysics. In addition, we introduced a budget-variable for the activated aerosols to avoid overestimation of the available potential ice nuclei. Further, we implemented new process rates in the microphysic scheme to facilitate the evaluation of the microphysical processes which are influenced by the different parameterizations.
