The appearance of IN and CCN in the Arctic and their vertical distribution is of importance for Arctic low-level mixed-phase clouds. We use a combination of field measurements and regional modeling to derive vertical IN/CCN profiles. The profiles are compared for a situation with predominantly locally emitted aerosol particles to a situation dominated by long-range transport of aerosol particles.
