This work focuses on the dissolution dynamics of sodium chloride particles formed in different drying conditions. Recent work found that drying conditions influence the morphology of a crystal. Additionally, the starting concentration of a saline droplet affects the final size of the crystal. Sodium chloride makes an ideal model system to explore these processes for the first time.
