Air Quality In Enclosed Railway Stations

This study measured the concentrations of air pollutants, principally PM2.5 and PM10 and NO2, inside and outside Edinburgh Waverley and London King’s Cross stations. By combining these measurements with train operating information, this project aimed to improve the understanding of how diesel trains and other sources influence exposure to air pollution inside railway stations so that improvement activities can be identified and prioritised.
